Prophetic News with Ev. King Osiemo
A barefoot child wandering in the cold streets of Pennsylvania becomes a trumpet warning to the nations. While mothers sleep under intoxication and fathers abandon responsibility, Heaven asks: “Can a mother forget her sucking child?”
This is the age foretold in prophecy—children without the shoes of the gospel, homes without altars, churches without watchmen, and nations without repentance.
Satan appears as pleasure, medicine, freedom, and modern comfort—but behind the mask is destruction. The lambs are left in the street while Babylon celebrates.
Watchman, blow the trumpet! The children are in the road!
“Feed My lambs.” — John 21:15
The cry of this generation is the cry of the prophet: “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved” (Jeremiah 8:20). Children are found wandering barefoot in the middle of the road—without shoes, without covering, without protection—like sheep without a shepherd. This is not merely social failure; it is spiritual desolation.
Isaiah asked:
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Yet the Lord answered in Isaiah 49:15, “Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.”
In this painful Pennsylvania case, a mother previously involved in the death of her infant while under intoxication was again connected to the neglect of another child found cold, barefoot, and wandering alone in the road. This reflects the solemn warning of The Great Controversy: Satan works “while appearing to the children of men as a great physician,” yet he destroys homes, weakens moral power, and turns parental affection into neglect and ruin. Intemperance, drugs, and spiritual sleep prepare families for destruction.
Christ said, “Feed my lambs” (John 21:15). Instead, many lambs are abandoned. The gospel shoes of Ephesians 6:15—“your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace”—are missing. A child without shoes in the road becomes a symbol of a church and society without the gospel foundation, exposed to the danger of the dragon.
Compare and Contrast: Heaven’s Care vs Earth’s Neglect
God’s Government
- The Good Shepherd seeks the lost sheep (Luke 15)
- Heaven records tears and cries in the books above
- Christ gathers lambs in His arms (Isaiah 40:11)
- Divine mercy remembers the forgotten child
Babylon’s System
- Rome and worldly systems neglect the weak
- Judgment becomes lenient where true repentance is absent
- Sin is excused while children suffer
- Families collapse under moral intoxication and spiritual darkness
In The Great Controversy, Rome’s oppression and America’s moral decline are contrasted. Rome used chains and prisons; modern Babylon uses intoxication, entertainment, and broken homes. One kills by sword, the other by spiritual sleep. Yet both destroy souls.
The wandering child in the road is a prophetic sign: many today are spiritually barefoot, led not by Christ but by confusion. Parents sleep while the enemy enters. Watchmen must cry aloud.

“Can a mother forget her sucking child?” — Isaiah 49:15 (KJV)
The news from Pennsylvania reveals a painful sign of the times: a little child found wandering in the middle of the road, barefoot, cold to the touch, without protection, while the babysitter slept in neglect after a history of losing her own infant through intoxication and carelessness.
This is not merely a legal story—it is a spiritual alarm.
The child without shoes is a symbol of this generation: children without the shoes of the gospel, wandering in dangerous highways of sin, while spiritual guardians sleep.
“And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.” — Ephesians 6:15
Without gospel shoes, children walk exposed to serpents, roads, wolves, and destruction.
In Light of The Great Controversy by Ellen G. White
Ellen G. White warns that in the last days Satan works especially through the destruction of the family and moral responsibility.
She writes that intemperance, neglect, selfish pleasure, and spiritual slumber would become common signs before judgment.
The sleeping babysitter reflects the sleeping watchmen of Ezekiel 33.
“His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs… loving to slumber.” — Isaiah 56:10
When guardians sleep, children wander.
When mothers neglect, innocence suffers.
When judges excuse sin lightly, evil multiplies.
The judge gave only two days for the death of an infant. Mercy without true repentance becomes permission for repeated destruction.
This mirrors Rome’s historical pattern—sin excused without transformation.
Compare and Contrast
1. Ancient Israel vs Modern Society
Ancient Israel
Children were seen as heritage from the Lord.
“Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord.” — Psalm 127:3
Mothers were guardians of covenant faith.
Modern Society
Children are often left to intoxicated systems, careless homes, and spiritual strangers.
Babies are watched by sleeping guardians instead of praying mothers.
This is Babylon confusion.
2. True Motherhood vs Spiritual Neglect
God’s Ideal
“Can a woman forget her sucking child…?” — Isaiah 49:15
A godly mother protects, nurtures, watches, and intercedes.
Present Reality
The mother entrusted her child to unsafe hands.
The babysitter repeated destructive behavior.
The child wandered barefoot in the road.
This is the prophecy of broken homes in the last days.
“Disobedient to parents… without natural affection…” — 2 Timothy 3:2–3
3. Christ the Shepherd vs Satan the Destroyer
Christ
Christ gathers lambs.
“He shall gather the lambs with his arm.” — Isaiah 40:11
Satan
Satan scatters lambs into roads of danger.
He causes spiritual drunkenness, neglect, and destruction.
The child in the road is a visible sermon of invisible warfare.
This is the Great Controversy.
Prophetic Warning
America claims Christianity but children are found barefoot in roads.
Homes are collapsing.
Justice is weakened.
Sin is normalized.
Mothers forget.
Fathers disappear.
Watchmen sleep.
And heaven asks:
“Where is the flock that was given thee, thy beautiful flock?” — Jeremiah 13:20
The barefoot child is also the church.
Many believers have removed the gospel shoes.
They walk exposed to deception, false doctrine, and destruction.
Final Appeal
Parents must wake up.
Churches must wake up.
Pastors must wake up.
Watchmen must stop sleeping.
Before the literal roads claim children, the spiritual roads are already swallowing nations.
Christ still says:
“Suffer little children to come unto me…” — Mark 10:14
The question is:
Who is leading them to Christ?
And who is leaving them in the road?
