“What Shall It Profit a Nation, If It Loses Its Birthright?”
A fresh political storm has risen as former U.S. President Donald Trump shared controversial remarks concerning birthright citizenship, where commentator Michael Savage referred to immigrants from India and China as coming from “hellholes,” triggering strong rebuke from India and diplomatic concern between United States and India.
This issue reaches far beyond politics—it touches one of the oldest themes in Scripture: birthright.
From Esau selling his birthright for bread, to Jacob wrestling for covenant inheritance, to spiritual Israel replacing literal privilege with faithfulness, the Bible treats birthright not merely as legal status, but as sacred responsibility.
Today nations fight over citizenship, immigration, inheritance, and national identity—yet prophecy asks a deeper question:
Who Has Sold Their Spiritual Birthright?
SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION: ESAU AND THE MODERN CRISIS
Genesis 25:34: Then Esau despised his birthright

Esau returned hungry from the field and sold his birthright to Jacob for “bread and pottage of lentils.”
Hebrews 12:16–17 (KJV)
“Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.”
This is not merely family history.
It is prophecy.
A people can exchange eternal inheritance for temporary appetite.
A nation can exchange divine principle for political convenience.
A church can exchange truth for popularity.
A government can exchange liberty for control.
This is exactly what The Perils of the Republic of the United States of America warns against.
THE PERILS OF THE REPUBLIC: A REPUBLIC LOSING ITS INHERITANCE
Percy T. Magan warned that America was founded upon Protestant republican principles—liberty of conscience, separation of church and state, and constitutional restraint.
But prophecy shows a gradual surrender.
Revelation 13 warns:
Revelation 13:11: he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon
America begins like a lamb—civil and religious liberty.
But it ends speaking like a dragon—coercion, enforcement, and false worship.
Birthright citizenship debates are only one symptom.
The deeper issue is this:
Has America sold its prophetic birthright?
Liberty for control.
Justice for power.
Principle for expediency.
Like Esau, many awaken too late.

This reflects another biblical pattern:

Nations rise in pride, identity, language, and power struggles.
Men seek greatness through earthly systems rather than divine government.
Today immigration debates reveal the same tension:
Who belongs?
Who inherits?
Who has rightful citizenship?
Yet heaven declares:

“For our conversation [citizenship] is in heaven…”
The ultimate birthright is not American, Indian, European, or African.
It is heavenly.

Will republican America continue drifting toward old-world union of throne and altar?
The Perils of the Republic warned of this.
Protestant liberty must not return to papal-style control.
Birthright must not become bondage.

“And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged…”
Many are distracted by political noise while probation silently closes.
Birthright debates matter.
But the greater issue is salvation.
The true inheritance is the kingdom of God.
The true citizenship is heaven.
The true question is:
Have you sold your birthright?
For money?
For compromise?
For popularity?
For political loyalty?
For appetite?
For fear?
Esau wept too late.
Let the remnant church not repeat his mistake.
FINAL WATCHMAN CRY
America debates citizenship.
India defends honor.
Kings travel.
Borders tighten.
Prophecy advances.
But heaven asks only one question:
Are your names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life?
Do not trade eternity for temporary gain.
Do not sell your crown.
Do not surrender your birthright.
Christ still offers the everlasting inheritance.
Choose wisely.
Time is short.
