Gas is over $8 a gallon in some parts of California. This means that filling up a 15-gallon gas tank will cost you more than $120. For some people, that is half of their weekly income. This is insane, and it is destroying many families who are unsure what to do as gas prices continue to rise.

On March 8, 2020, Donald Trump correctly predicted that if Joe Biden became president, gasoline would cost $7, $8, or $9 per gallon.
Joe Biden said on May 23, 2022, that rising fuel prices are part of the “incredible transition” we must go through to phase out fossil fuels. Meanwhile, rising energy prices have resulted in record profits for major oil companies and refineries, amounting to billions of dollars.
