Lesson 29: The doctrine of the “Secret Rapture” is not true. It is not a Biblical teaching. It gives false hope.

Many Christians are believing in a false doctrine.
They believe that Jesus will come and secretly take the righteous people to heaven.
They believe that the wicked people will have a second chance to change their behavior and become righteous.
This is not true.

People should change their lives right now and make themselves right with Jesus.
They should follow the instructions that Jesus has given us and go to church on Saturday. The 7th day is Saturday. Saturday is the correct day to worship God.
They should obey the Ten Commandments.
They should have good behavior.
They should give their hearts to Jesus.

When Jesus comes, everybody living on this earth will see him and hear the trumpet sound.

In Revelation 1:7 we read: “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him…”

In 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 we read: For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

  1. Jesus’ Second Coming will be visible around the entire world.

Bible Verses: Revelation 1:7, Matthew 24:27, Matthew 24:30

  1. Jesus’ Second Coming will be loud. There will be shouts and trumpets blowing loudly.

Bible Verses: 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Jeremiah 25:30, Psalm 50:3

  1. Jesus’ Second Coming will be emotional. It will be an emotional day for the wicked people and for the righteous people.

The disobedient people will experience indescribable fear and anguish, while the righteous people will experience the perfect joy of eternal salvation.

Bible Verses: Luke 21:26-27, Isaiah 25:9

  1. Jesus’ Second Coming will open the graves.
The righteous people who were dead will become alive.
They will meet Jesus in the air.
After that, the faithful people who are still alive will also fly in the air to meet Jesus.
It will not be a secret!

Bible Verses: John 6:40, 1 Corinthians 15:22-23, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

  1. Jesus’ Second Coming will destroy the earth.
This world will be uninhabitable after Jesus comes.
His coming will shake the very foundations of the earth.

Bible Verses: Isaiah 24:19-20, Revelation 6:14, Revelation 16:18-20

  1. Jesus’ Second Coming will mean final judgment.

“For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.” Matthew 16:27.

“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” Revelation 22:12.

  1. When Jesus returns, we will receive our final reward.
Each person’s decision will have already been made.
There will be no second chance to convert.
The time to make a decision to follow Jesus is now!

Notes 1: The Fourth Commandment tells us to worship God on the 7th day.
The 7th day is Saturday. Saturday is the Sabbath. Exodus 20:8-11

This is what Scripture says about being right with Jesus:

Let wicked people abandon their ways. Let evil people abandon their thoughts. Let them return to the LORD, and he will show compassion to them. Let them return to our God, because he will freely forgive them. Isaiah 55:7 GOD’S WORD®️ Translation

Notes 2: There is a false idea that there will be a “Secret Rapture” and that the last week of the 70-Week prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27 will take place before Jesus comes. This is a false teaching.

The 70-Week Prophecy ended with the stoning of Stephen.
After the stoning of Stephen, the gospel went to the Gentiles.

When Jesus comes, everyone alive on this earth will see Him and the good people who were dead will be raised to life.
All the good people will be taken to heaven by Jesus.

The bad people will lose eternal life.

There will be no second chance.

Additional information: In 1590, Francisco Ribera started teaching false ideas about end-time events.
He and others taught false ideas such as Futurism, Dispensationalism, the Gap Theory and the “Secret Rapture.”

Some of the false teachers were: Robert Bellarmine, Luis de Alcazar, Dr. S.R. Maitland,
Manuel Lacunza from Chile who wrote under the pen name of Juan Josafat Ben-Ezra to make it sound Jewish and authentic,
Margaret MacDonald, John Nelson Darby, Cyrus Ingerson Scofield, Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins and others.

These are false teachers. Don’t be deceived by their teachings.
